Gulf cooperation council is short for GCC in English. The Gulf Cooperation Council was founded at May.25th,1981 at Abu Dhabi of UAE. Six member states participate in the GCC. They are Saudi Arabia, Kuwait ,UAE, Qatar, Oman and Baharain.The chief secretariat sets in the capital city of Saudi Arabia-- Riyadh. The highest organ of power which participated by its member states is the Supreme Council. The terms for the chairman is one year which takes turn by its member states’ chairman. Now the Chair is Qubas from Oman.The six countries have the similarity politics and economy .The royals of six countries connect closely. The six countries share the same benefits in the aspect of politics, economy ,diplomacy and national defense. It is an important politics and economy organization.
The total area of GCC’s member state is 2,670,000 sq.kms with about 34,000,000 population. The total GDP is about 380,000,000,000 US dollars. The main resource are oil and nature gas. It is an important area organazation in Middle East.GCC locates in the communication center between the East hemishere and west hemishere So it has vital stratagem geographic location.In the North,it borders to Iraq and Jordan.In the South ,it near to Yemen and Arabian sea. In the East,it nears Arabia gulf. In the West it nears to Red Sea. It belongs to tropical desert climate and most are desert inside of the border.
Foreign trade is vital to the GCC in the national economy.Due to its sigle economic structure ,many of the daily life and manufacture needs depend on import except oil and petrochemical. The total amout of yearly import and export trade is 240,000,000,000 US.dollars. The main export Country is American ,Japan, EU. South Korean and so on. The main import Country is EU, American,Japan and Southeast Asia countries and so on.
Acoording to decision which made by GCC standard organization GSO in 10/12/2007 at Kuwait minister conference ,GSO will will test motor vehicles as well as tyre products and issue the certification of GCC authentification according to correlated gulf standard.
The authentification which approved by the GCC is available to all his member states.
